Originally registered in Banff BF1512
Sold to G Reid Portgordon in 1913 then re-registered in Buckie as BCK 172
In 1934 she was lost off Benbecula
Steam Drifter BCK 59 'Lucania 11'
*Built in 1910 of wood construction by William (Beal) Geddes and Company of Portgordon
for J Reid Portgordon
In 1932 she foundered off Yarmouth

The picture above is a typical 'Scaffie' (Skaffie) taken between 1900 - 1920 at Lerwick
Note the open deck. Useful for a big catch, not so good in a heavy swell as the boat could easily be swamped and so these boats tended to stay fairly close to shore
