The Fire Fighters Charity, formerly known as the Fire Service Benevolent Fund (or 'Ben Fund') is a little richer today thanks to the efforts of the team from Buckie Fire Station in winning this first ever Charity Raft Race at Portgordon on Gala Day. They entered the event last year when it was simply a raft race and whilst finishing a respectable third they did on that occasion win the prize for best raft. They were determined to win this time, although it was very close, and in so doing gained much respect from the local community which they serve so well in many ways
